This unique festival in Estes Park features international and world famous singers and entertainers, as well as young dancers performing Folk, Irish and Highland dances. Take in the sights and sounds of Scottish and Irish clans with their gorgeous tartan displays, hospitality tents and joyous reunions.
Wander through an array of merchant and craft booths featuring imported Scottish and Irish clothing, art, jewelry, and fascinating heraldry histories. Sample an assortment of delectable food choices, from Celtic specialties such as haggis, meat pies, turkey legs, Scotch and beer to more traditional American fare including hamburgers, ice cream and funnel cakes!
The Scottish/Irish Highland Festival begins on Thursday evening with the 7:30 pm Tattoo, a concert on the parade grounds featuring all of the visiting guest bands and groups. Throughout the festival, the field is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
The Saturday parade, an extravaganza of sight and sound, begins at 9:30 am on Estes's main street, Elkhorn Avenue. Come early and don’t forget your camera!
Evening activities begin at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday and include the Folk Concert, the Colorado Celtic Rock Concert, and the Longs Peak Concert – Estes Tattoo – new this year!
Take part in the Ceilidh, the Celtic New Year’s Party, on both Friday and Saturday night, and continue the celebration into the wee hours of the morning.
Start your Sunday morning dining with the Jousters and Athletes at the Pancake Breakfast, between 8 am and 10 am.
Sunday evening marks the end of the festival with the Honored Guest Banquet, a superb meal complete with dress kilts, suits, evening dress attire for the ladies, a cash bar and live entertainment beginning with cocktails at 7:00 pm and dinner at 7:30 pm.
