Welcome to the Solitude Cabins blog, where we will cover all topics related to Estes Park vacation rentals, activities, and Rocky Mountain National Park.

History of Solitude Cabins

Solitude Cabins, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and just a few minutes from the world-famous Rocky Mountain National Park, sits on a property from the early 1900s.

This property was originally owned by a watercolor artist, Charles Partridge Adams, who built the property’s original structure to be his artist studio. We try to pay homage to Charles through the names of our buildings, but we have done quite a bit of updating and building since he lived on this land.

Today, Solitude Cabins is the vision of Paul and Katherine Kochevar, who have lived in Estes Park since the 1970s. As community members, the Kochevars take great pride in being able to offer a world-class Estes Park vacation rental experience to their guests.

A Perfect Blend of Nature and Luxury

Solitude Cabins is an incredible option for Estes Park vacation rentals because it gives you the perfect combination of nature and modern amenities. Far from “roughing it,” when you stay at our cabins you have access to a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, washer and dryer, private deck with a gas grill, and an on-site hot tub. You still feel like you have retreated to nature, though, given our incredible Rocky Mountain scenery and location right near Rocky Mountain National Park.

When you stay at Solitude Cabins, you also have the option for a “My Amenities” package. Imagine walking into your cabin after a long day’s hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, exhausted from the elevation gains, to find a delicious, warm crock pot meal waiting for you. This can be a reality with the Crock Pot Meals package, so you can spend your time on vacation and not in the kitchen. All you need to do to set up this amazing package is call.

Activities for the Whole Family

While you could be perfectly content sitting in our outdoor hot tub and soaking in the fresh Rocky Mountain air and scenery, Solitude Cabins also has activities for a fun-filled family vacation in close proximity.

You can take the Estes Valley Hike/Bike trail right outside of our property to Lake Estes or into town. We are also close to Rocky Mountain National Park, horseback riding, biking, rafting, a golf course, and more. Whatever adventure you choose, Solitude Cabins can be your home base in Estes Park.
